Welcome to the San Jose Central church of Christ web site. Although we are a diverse group of people who come from many different ethnic, educational and socio-economic backgrounds, Jesus has transformed us into being his family, a family belonging to God. We hope this web site will be a blessing to you. Anytime that you are in San Jose, California you are invited to drop in and visit us. If you are unfamiliar with who we are, we invite you to check out our web page resource About Christ's Church. |

We are common people who have responded to the good news about Jesus Christ. We claim the covenantal relationship with God which Jesus' blood has made possible, a relationship characterized by forgiveness, the gift of the Spirit, grace and peace. Since we understand that the Lord is faithful in adding those to his body, (i.e. to the church), who have responded to His gospel with the obedience of faith, we therefore realize that we have been purchased by Jesus' blood for God. Our identity as individuals and as a group revolves around faithfully loving and serving God and our fellow human being. We are a family of Christians who believe in sharing our love and faith in Christ with the community around us. We strive to practice the Bible as God's inspired word by worshipping together, working together, teaching one another and encouraging each other - all to the glory of God. |

We are a family of Christians seeking to understand and follow God's Word. We believe in sharing our love and faith with the community around us. We strive to practice the Bible as God's inspired word by worshiping together, working together, teaching one another, and encouraging each other. All to the Glory of God. Our Congregation Our Christian family is composed of Afro Americans, Asian American, European Americans, Hispanic Americans, Native Americans, and South Americans. Some of us work in computer related industries, others are home makers, or retired. Still others are janitors, own small businesses, work in the care giving professions, drive buses, or are teachers at public and private schools, etc. Within our congregation we have several who have walked on this earth for a long time and others who have only just begun to learn. Christ came to destroy the barriers between people and to establish a new people where ethnic and social barriers don't exist. We are thankful that we are able to reflect in our membership God's love to all peoples. Our Pastors / Shepherds / Elders / Bishops Currently we have two Christian leaders who serve as shepherds for the congregation. Our Deacons / Servants We have several members who have been charged to faithfully serve in various areas of responsibility. Some of these areas of service include Worship, Benevolence, Youth, Education, and Evangelism. Our Evangelist / Minister / Preacher Our minister, Johnny Bond, began his work with the family at Central on June 17, 2007. |
